This fish report is from Pete Hillis, reporting out of Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, for the week ending July 30, 2009.

The weather has been a little mixed this week. It has been very overcast in the mornings with the sun finally burning through by the early afternoons. Morning temps have been cool as a result but it generally warms up to the high-70\\\'s by 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

The tuna has been slow but overall fishing has been good. Big yellowtail and dorado have been caught outside under the paddies. Also we have had an on and off bite of white seabass at Socorro.

Fishing with us this week were John Ellis and his friends, Joe Mungieca and Daniel Venegas from Upland, CA. They fished on the Rommy with Captain Hector and loaded up on some very nice yellowtail averaging 25 to 30 lbs with a few smaller ones mixed in - see photos attached.

Also with us were George Alfaro and his wife, Siami, from Torrance, CA. They fished on the Paloma with Captain Miguel and did likewise on the yellowtail.
