This fish report is from Pete Hillis reporting out of Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja Mexico for the week ending August 6, 2009.

Weather and fishing conditions were great this week. The famous San Quintin winds kicked up a little on us but died down quickly. We had 25 trips out this week. Our anglers found if you go outside and find a paddie, you are almost guaranteed a sure bite on yellowtail and dorado. South at Soccorro, we had a nice white seabass bite. The fish have been very picky and seem to be taking only large chrome crocs but that can change as you all know.

Father and son, Rick and Kyle Hesley, brought a large group down from the Southern California area and fished on Saturday and Sunday (photo attached). Steve and Clint Walker, Kyle Hesley and Will Redanz are shown with a nice catch of yellowtail.

Also with us were Jon Hall, Robert Packner and Rod Chiriboga from the San Diego area. They fished with Captain Hector on Monday on the Rommy and did real good on the yellowtail under the paddies.
