Finally, the albacore and here, and the weather is great. The big news from the San Diego Sportfishing fleet is the albacore bite turned into full speed ripper bites on Tuesday, and got even better on Wednesday. Tommy Rothery from the bridge of the Polaris Supreme reported the following from Wednesday's fishing: "Absolutely phenomenal albacore fishing today and good fishing on the 25-35 pound bluefin. Excellent weather. Everybody is having a fantastic time as you can imagine". There was also limit style albacore fishing near the 295 bank- 70 miles from Point Loma, and most of the one day fleet had limits yesterday. There were also private boats fishing within 25 miles of the point that had albacore and yellowtail.

The white sea bass are still biting up and down the coast, with many anglers catching fish of a lifetime. Catalina has been up and down, but seabass and yellowtail are being caught in the West Cove and Salta Verde areas. San Clemente Island has been producing good scores of yellowtail on the back side in the Lost Point area.
