What a difference a day makes. The salmon fishing slowed way down and most anglers caught 0-4 fish today. There were a few decent scores from the east edge of the Soquel Hole to Pajaro in 150-200 feet of water. The west edge of the Soquel Hole did produced a few limits. There were some anglers who fished in 120-150 feet of water yesterday in front of Santa Cruz and did well. My guess is that the fish are scattered from all the pressure and things will pick up in a few days. The few anglers who fished up the coast near 3 Trees found a few fish in 280 feet of water. The halibut is picking up and the squid is moving in.
