Catfish have still been biting well along the rip rap in front of the bait shop and along the canal by the entrance booth on cut baits like mackerel, chicken liver and sardines down deep using a heavy sinker and a wider hook. Stripers have also been biting on various baits throughout the day but have been more active towards the surface in the early morning hours. Anglers have had luck trolling the lake with deeper diving jerkbaits and umbrella rigs or lead headed baits to come across the schools of stripers and cover more water. Top water baits and jerkbaits have also been working during the morning hours as the stripers are still more active. Largemouth and Smallmouth bass have been biting more top waters and spinners over the past week or so along with soft plastics like senkos or creature baits and roboworms along the grasslines of the lake.

Water Temperature: 60 degrees
