We have received our first plant of the year this past Wednesday, allowing anglers to catch their limits along the shoreline and throughout the marina on various baits like smaller spinners and rooster tails along with nightcrawlers and powerbait or even mice tails with smaller split shots to work different depths.

Stripers have been eating cut baits throughout the day off steeper walls and points around the lake towards Yellowbar and off Spanish Point or Serrano using mackerel, sardines and lugworms bait and wait.

Many Catfish have been pulled up also using sardines and mackerel mainly along the coves and sandy banks using a longer leader and a heavy weight to endure the conditions.

Bass are still eating soft plastics like senkos and robo worms with some smaller swim baits and crank baits along the grasslines.

Water temperature: 60 degrees
