Fall provides some of the best fishing of the year on Boulder Mountain. As the water cools down, fish are triggered into feeding to bulk up before winter. Brook trout and splake also get aggressive as they prepare to spawn, though they are tougher to catch while spawning. Consult the Boulder Mountain entry on the Utah Fishing Map for fishing techniques and tips. Also, check the Utah Fishing Guidebook to see which lakes are closed to fishing through the winter (lakes are listed under individual names, not "Boulder Mountain"). Be prepared for any kind of weather, from calm and cool to cold and snowy.
