An earthquake has occurred with a magnitude such that a tsunami will not be generated. This will be the only WCATWC message issued for this event.
Preliminary Earthquake Parameters Magnitude - 4.1 Time - 0622 AKST Feb 26 2010 - 0722 PST Feb 26 2010 - 1522 UTC Feb 26 2010 Location - 57.3 North 155.0 West - 100 Miles/161 km SW of Kodiak City Alaska - 320 Miles/515 km SW of Anchorage Alaska Depth - 5 Miles/8 km The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information. Further information will be issued by the United States Geological Survey - Earthquake.USGS.GOV - or the Appropriate Regional Seismic Network.
