Local anglers could breathe a big sigh of relief as yellowtail went on the bite for San Diego boats fishing at The Rockpile and the Coronados Islands. At least one boat had three fish around on Tuesday, reported "Goat" at the Point Loma Tackle Store. They were nice fish, too, of 15 to 20 pounds. The next day produced yellowtail up to at least 22 pounds at the islands, and then the word was out, with hot spots becoming jammed with boats of various sizes. There were no spots in the parking lot at the big three San Diego landings Saturday.
