Have you ever wondered what you should do to re-adjust your drag setting on a lever-drag reel while playing a fish?

Ernie Montano asked Accurate, "Does the new 870 2-Speed reel a have new feature of being able to adjust tension on drag while in gear?"

The answer came from Accurate reel developer Jack Nilsen:

"You do not have to completely put the drag lever into freespool position to adjust the preset drag setting. Simply back off the drag pressure a bit and make the adjustment. Then push the drag lever back to the strike position. ??This is the same on all Accurate Reels. ??Backing off the drag lever takes some of the pressure off the system and allows the adjustment to be made easier."
