Fishing at Silver Lake has been great this past week. We have seen several nice stringers come in from both the shore and from boats. In a boat fishing has been great at the far south end of Silver using Power baits and worms or tossing a Super Duper or a kastmaster in Gold or Silver.. Shore access has been some what limited due to the great amounts of water. The lake is really full which is great. Fishing from shore, your best bet is to use Power baits, Salmon Egg Red, Salmon Peach or Rainbow. Worms have been good early in the morning and later in the afternoon. If you are in a boat and are trolling, streamers, like an Olive Matuka or Green Wooly bugger, have been doing well. Also trolling with a Tasmanian Devil with any type of color has also been producing some nice fish. Rush Creek has also been doing well this week with anglers using mosquitoes, nymphs and black ants. A great looking male brown was also caught on Rush using Salmon Eggs, but we have had great looking stringers come in all week.

The Silver Lake Resort is a full service resort in June Lake, CA. We offer accommodations for fisherman throughout the trout season. We have cabins for all size groups, an RV park, a Cafe with fabulous food and a general store to meet your needs. If you would like to book a trip to Silver Lake call them at (760) 648-7525.
