One More Post for Ted Crane

On January 22 I wrote and posted a piece (you can see it in the archives on FishingVideos.com) about my old friend and fishing companion Ted Crane, a tall, affable, deeply tanned surfer and artist. That was the day after the Intrepid departed on a 15-day trip Ted had expected to make with his pal Mike Randel.

When Mike got off the boat February 4, he told me Ted had passed away in hospice the day I posted, Tuesday, January 22. Saddened by his leaving us, I take some comfort in knowing his passing was relatively quick and painless. Mike and I and Ted's many friends will miss him and his cheerful, accepting attitude aboard the boat, along with his openness and the stories of his many experiences. What a nice guy!

I'll share one more photo of Ted here today: Ted with a hoo-bit sardine. You can see his great attitude all the way up on the upper deck. Goodbye, my friend. We will remember you.
