Browne Lake - Daggett County, UT

Lake Information

Fish Species: Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Tiger Trout
Browne Lake in Daggett County is a serene 75‑acre alpine reservoir with excellent rainbow trout fishing. Situated at 8,200 feet in the Uintas, it fishes from late May through October and is ideal for float tubes, fly rods, and small crafts.

Spring stockings produce trout averaging 10–14 inches, with fall plants extending the season. Bait-casters do well with PowerBait, worms, or small spinners, while boat anglers troll marabou leeches or jigs along weed edges and drop-offs.

Fly anglers enjoy summer dry-fly action with mayfly (Adams, PMD) or caddis patterns, while nymph rigs work throughout the day. Fishing is best in the mornings and evenings when littoral fish move shallower.

Amenities include a gravel ramp, primitive campground, vault toilets, fire rings, and a loop drive. Only electric motors are allowed.

If you're after easy access, scenic mountain settings, and reliable rainbow trout fishing, Browne Lake is an excellent choice in the northeastern Uintas.
