According to Armando Gutierrez, the manager for the Marina El Cid and Puerto Morelos Sportfishing Fleet, the anglers are very few and far between. This past week, they had only 3 fishing days for their report that reflected 1 sailfish, 9 giant barracuda, 2 pargo, 2 sierra and 3 miscellaneous critters, (2 Peto and 1 Xcochin, whatever those are?).

Puerto Morelos Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 76 nights to 95 daytime highs, with high humidity and some P.M. rain squalls.

Sea Conditions: Generally pretty good, with easterly winds at 10-12 knots and light PM wind chop.

Best Bait: Continues to be the ballyhoo, both rigged and unrigged baits.
