About 58% of the offshore sportfishers are landing billfish and the striper catches are increasing slightly; a normal trend for this time of year. The overall combined catches for the Aries Sportfishing Fleet for 29 days fished offshore reflected 2 sailfish, 17 stripers, 8 dorado, 6 yellowfin tuna and 6 jack cravelle.. Inshore catches for 8 super panga days reflected 8 pargo, 4 jack cravelle ad 76 cochitos.

Mazatlan Climate: Mostly sunny and warm days, temps from 54 nights to 85 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Calm for the most part, light surface breezes, temps from 72 inshore to 75 offshore.

Best Fishing Area: No specific area was reported for the week, with fish scattered about a wide area over the week.

Best Bait/Lure: Most of the billfish are being taken on the rigged mullet trolling baits.

Another banner billfish week from Cabo San Lucas with most of the hot action still coming from the Golden Gate Bank on the Pacific side. High catch boat for the week was the "Gaviota IV", skippered by Captain Octavio Castillo, with 21 stripers for 4 fishing days and releasing all but one.
