We’re pleased to share that GGFA’s Tim Klassen has been hard at work representing us at recent PFMC and other key fisheries meetings. Thanks to his dedication and the efforts of others, we have some great news: the Quillback rockfish stock assessment has come back with very positive results.

This encouraging assessment opens the door to a potential opportunity we’ve been hoping for — the possibility of reopening all state waters for rockfish fishing.

We at GGFA would also like to recognize and sincerely thank Marci and her dedicated staff at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for all their hard work in helping make this progress possible. Their efforts have been instrumental.

GGFA’s Tim Klassen, along with other committed members, will continue to attend PFMC meetings to advocate strongly for access to all state waters. We’ll keep you updated as things progress!
