The north arm of the lake is fishing well and the algae is not as thick as in other areas. Fish in 3-4 feet of water with a midge pupa like Stevie's Wonder gray/black under a large dry fly such as a stimulator or madam x.

Convict Lake is fishing well this week with several 4 lb catches coming and should get even better for the weekend. We're expecting a chance of thunderstorms over the next few days. Water temps are warm, so the fish are gathering in the lower colder depths. Use 4-6 lb. test line and attach a 5-6 foot leader from a fillable bubble and swivel barrel for best results.
