The East Walker River is flowing at 101 cfs today, and still hanging in there. The morning temps coming out of the dam are at about 68 or 69 degrees, they do warm up a bit throughout the day but the fish??still seem to be healthy and fighting/releasing well. We are encouraging anglers to??try not to play the fish too long as this makes it more difficult??to release and/or revive them quickly. At this point I think it's all about paying a little extra attention to the fish so they get released in a timely and healthy manner. If it gets much warmer we'll undoubtedly be recommending fishing elsewhere so as not to endanger the great fish in the EW, but for the time being they're still doing ok.??

Bridgeport Lake is really fishing well these days. Haven't heard anything from the shore out there, but the boat and/or tube anglers are??doing great. Lots of reports of 20 to 30 fish days, with lots of??"The big one that got away" reports as well. The bait fishermen are fishing mostly crawlers with a little power bait.??The fly anglers are fishing blood midges, damsels, and callibaetis under indicators,??or stripping streamers like??Seal Buggers or dainty damsels.??

The??Virginias are producing well, beetles and caddis on top, or seal buggers and stillwater nymphs underneath. Bait and lures are also doing well from the shore or tubes.??

The Twins are also producing some nice fish these days, mostly??trolling blades and spoons or bait fishing with power bait or crawlers.

Had a good report from Kirman on the 14th, 2 anglers landed 6 fish, all cutts from 16 to 20 inches. All were caught with full sinking lines??stripping buggers with a scud trailer. Not too bad for??Kirman this time of the year. Unfortunately they didn't get in to any brookies, hopefully this fall.??
