Another outstanding fishing week from Puerto Morelos with dorado, (aka mahi-mahi) being the fish of the week for the anglers. The overall fishing report for a total of 65 days fished reflected a 13 fish variety that included 1 blue marlin, 14 white marlin, 7 sailfish, 3 wahoo, 25 bonito, 5 giant barracuda, 8 blackfin tuna, 107 dorado, 15 triggerfish, 13 snappers, 1 banana fish, 1 grouper and 1 amberjack. According to our on-location reporter, Ms. Jessica Ortega, we are now in the prime time for fishing and from here through the next month or two, our fish reports should be filled with hot catching action for our readers. This is an exiting period of the year for our anglers and crews with the influx of the billfish and dorado that offer fun fishing days and lifelong memories.

PM Climate: Air temps stable at 72 nights to 87 daytime highs and a 62% humidity level. It has been a mixed weather week with a sun-cloud mix and occasional passing thunder shower, but nothing to prevent the fisherman from getting out of the harbor.

Sea Conditions: Sea temp stable at 83 degrees throughout the area. Tropical surface breezes flowing in from the easterly direction and ranging from light to about 13 mph.

Best Bait/Lure: 05 The seemingly always available ballyhoo baits continue to be the bait of choice by the customer and the crews.
