The fishing continues to be "red hot" in Zihuatanejo, with most boats reporting a daily average of 6 billfish strikes per day. The blue water has moved within 3 miles of shore making a very short run to the action. Over the past week, the waters have warmed up, which has really improved the sailfish bite but has somehow put a damper on the marlin action. There were no marlin reported this past week. The dorado bite has improved with several fish per day per boat being reported. The average size of the dorado are in the 20-30 lb. ranges. Inshore, the warm clear waters has made the roosterfishing difficult, albeit, several nice roosterfish were reported for the week. The inshore action continues to be dominated by large yellowtail jacks, (jack cravelle) and Spanish mackerel, (Sierra). Mega baits continue to be the hot lure for the jacks and sierra and live bait and red & white pencil poppers being best for the roosterfish.

IZ Climate: Partly cloudy days but toasty warm days in the upper 80's. Temps ranging from 69 nights to 87 daytime highs.

Sea Condittions: Excellent, calm, very light swell, gentle surface breezes and temps that are 82 inshore and rising to 85-85 offshore.

Bait Supply: Remains very available.
