The dorado bite continues to be the prime action of the fleets and the better bite has been on the Pacific side, from Los Arcos to the Golden Gate Bank. High boat for the week was the "Gaviota V", skippered by Captain Victor Cota, releasing 7 stripers for 4 fishing days. The overall combined counts for a total of 21 days fished reflected 13 stripers, (12 releases) 1 sailfish released, 17 yellowfin tun and 115 dorado, (mostly in the 12-20 lb. ranges, witth an occasional larger fish in the 30-50 lb. range.

CABO CLIMATE: Partly cloudy days with temps from 76 nights to 95 daytime highs and a little humid.

Sea Conditions: Good on both sides, temps from 84-85 on the Pacific side to 86 at the Gorda Banks, clean water from about 3-4 miles offshore.

Best Lure/Bait: Live bait was best on the billfish, albeit, a few are being taken on lures of varied colors and the mackerel colors have been best for the fleet boats. The dorado have been pretty active on artificials, live bait and strip bait.

Best Fishing Area: Continues to be on the Pacific side for the dorado, tuna and billfish, on and around the Golden Gate Bank area.

Live Bait Supply: Mostly caballitos with a few mullet mixed in. There has also been some opportunities to replenish the bait supply at the Golden Gate Bank.
